William Harry Smith

William Harry Smith, 87, of Science Hill, Kentucky passed away May 26, 2014 at the Somerset Nursing & Rehab Center. He attended the Science Hill Nazarene Church. Harry was a retired custodian of the Somerset High School. Harry loved camping and was an avid horse shoe player. At his passing he was surrounded by his loving wife (Bernice Smith) of 62 years, children, and family. He is survived by his three children Darrell & (Sherry) Smith, Marvin Carroll & (Mackelene) Smith, Cheryl Golden & fiancé (Rick Hunter). Darrell's family consists of daughters Tracy & (Weston) Lackey, Michelle & (Eric) Davis, Tiffany & (Ronnie) Dishman, Son Alan & (Kim) Dobbs. Grandchildren Simon Lackey, Madison Davis, Dean Davis, Sara Davis, Josh Dishman, Shaylee Dishman, Macy Dishman, Hunter Dishman, Colton Dishman, Abri Dobbs. Marvin Carroll's family consists of two sons, Alex, who is currently in the Navy and Allen. Cheryl Golden's family consists of her children: A daughter, Beverly Golden and fiancé (Mike McQuain), 2 step kids: Julie Shelton and Turner McQuain of Rupert, WV. A son, Chad Golden and wife (Tatjana Golden), 1 step daughter, Trinity, and 1 daughter, Chelsea of Crawley, WV His brothers and sisters surviving him are Christen (Dodson), Betty (Dodson), Mary (Wesley), Dee Smith, Joe Smith, Paul & (Joyce) Smith, Frank Smith, and Warren Smith. He was preceded in death by his mother & father Flossie & Doolin Smith, two sisters Geneva (Isabell) & Audry (Acey), one son, Allen, and two daughters Wilda & Wilma. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Dr. Curtis Sellers officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
