John David Ard

John David Ard, 52, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on April 8, 1962, son of the late Harlan and Julia Rose Ard. He was a member of Cumberland River Baptist Church. He loved to play the guitar, old country music, video games and his friends. He is survived by Diana Turpin Ard of Science Hill, two brothers, Bart & (Tonya) Ard of Cincinnati, OH and James Ard of Somerset, eight sisters, Lora & (Gerald) Barnett of Burnside, Tammy & (Joe) Rubino of Herkimer, NY, Sherry of Richmond, IN, Shirley & (Mike) of Florida, Kayla of Florida, Phyllis Snodgrass of Richmond, IN, Regina of Maryland and Jenny of Indiana He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Jerry Ard and two sisters, Peggy and Geneva. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Ridner officiating. Burial will be in Hudson-Weddle Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 AM Thursday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
