Michael David "Mike" Morris

Michael David "Mike" Morris, 78, of Bethelridge, Kentucky, passed away Monday, June 23, 2014 at University of Kentucky Medical Center. He was born in Horse Branch, Kentucky on March 16, 1936, son of the late Ron A. and Ethel Emery Morris. He was a mechanic and a handy-man. He was a member of Bethelridge United Methodist Church and a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Ashley Morris of Bethelridge, one son, Michael David Morris Jr. of Xenia, OH, four daughters, Marie & (Steve) Dill of Tipp City, OH, Sue Dukack of Texas, Michelle Morris and Charolett Morris, both of Louisville, KY, stepdaughter, Tammy & (Gene) Sweet of Bethelridge, one brother, Ron Jr. & (Yvonne) Morris of Beaver Dam, KY, nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Bethelridge United Methodist Church with Bro. Gene Sweet, Bro. David Green and Bro. Darrell Vance officiating. Burial will be in Bethelridge Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
