Judy Elaine Whitaker

Judy Elaine Whitaker, 57, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland, Jean Waddle Care Center. She was born in Portsmouth, Virginia on October 4, 1956, daughter of the late Earnest Wesley and Lillie Florence Cook Simpson. She was an assistant manager for Big Lots and a member of Pleasant Run Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Derrick Whitaker of Science Hill and one son, Michael Shannon Brewster of Lexington, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Rodger Wesley Simpson. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Burial will be in Simpson Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Saturday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
