Verna Sue Allen

Verna Sue Allen, 63, of Ferguson, Kentucky, passed away Friday, June 27, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on November 30, 1950, daughter of the late Lowell Mitchell and Glenda Mae Gastineau Norton. She was a caregiver. She is survived by one son, Billie F. & (Donna) Cox of Mt. City, TN, one daughter, Ada Wesley of Somerset, one brother, William "Bill" & (JoAnn) Norton of Somerset, two sisters, Lela Sexton of Ferguson and Ada "Cricket" & (Russell) Morgan of Somerset, seven grandchildren, Michael Ping, Brittany & (Eddie) Hatmaker, Breanna Wesley, Jeff Cox, Bobby Cox, Brandan Cox and Joseph Cox, four great-grandchildren, Tatum Ping, Bailey Ping, Mason Hatmaker and Blade Cox, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, James Norton and one grandchild, Sam Leo Cox. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Monday, June 30, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Rose officiating. Burial will be in Rush Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 AM Monday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
