Oris B. "Dean" Mullins

Oris B. "Dean" Mullins, 91, of Yosemite, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014. He was born in Mt. Olive, Kentucky on April 26, 1923, son of the late Robert Lee and Eliza Jane Ellison Mullins. He was a farmer and a member of Eubank Baptist Church. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He is survived by his wife, Josephine Wesley Mullins, six children, Wilma Jean & (Danny) Sipe of Versailles, KY, Travis Dean & (Brenda) Mullins of Crab Orchard, KY, Vernie Ray & (Patty) Mullins of Corbin, KY, Judy Kay & (Mike) True of Liberty, KY, James Dale & (Karen) Mullins of Nicholasville, KY and Scott Nevale & (Becky) Mullins of Somerset, fourteen grandchildren, Jeff & (Cindy) Floyd, Laurie & (Mike) Hamby, Deana & (Chris) Caldwell, Kaitlyn Mullins, Lucas Mullins, Adam Mullins, David Mullins, Susan Mullins, Katie & (Tyler) Mills, Matt & (Jeania) True, Kim True, Hannah & (Andy) Mitchell, Tess & (Alex) Bechel and Jacob & (Alison) Mullins and sixteen great-grandchildren, Payton Floyd, Lauren Floyd, Clayton Hamby, Nate Hamby, Erin Hamby, Laynie Caldwell, Emory Lucas, Brady Mullins, Bailey Mills, Avery Mills, Anna True, Wesley True, Mason Bechel, Gavin Bechel, Cate Mullins and Lila Mullins. He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, Walter, Arthur, Charlie, Luther, Homer, Roy and Edward, five sisters, Laura, Nora, Elsie, Wilma and one who died in infancy and one great-grandchild, William Joseph Floyd. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday, July 7, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Martin and Rev. Mike Hamby officiating. Burial will be in Piney Grove Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #38. Visitation will be after 6 PM Sunday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
