Lowell Kenton Blankenship, 79, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Friday, July 4, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born in Woodstock, Kentucky on July 24, 1934, son of the late Lucien Isaac Blankenship and Clyde Beatrice Brown Blankenship. He worked at Southern Belle Dairy his whole life and was a member of Union Church of Christ.
Kenton is survived by one son, Johnny Blankenship, two sisters, Betty Lou & (Vernon) Reynolds and Shelby Jean Thompson, two grandchildren, Chris & (Jenny) Blankenship and Jennifer & (Kenneth) Ashley, three great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Will and Brady Blankenship and their grandmother, Marsha Mounce.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Agnes Albright Blankenship, whom he married on May 28, 1955, his parents, one brother, Frankie Blankenship and one great-grandchild, Dalton Ashley.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Ferlin Price officiating.
Burial will be in Woodstock Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11 AM Tuesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
