Hazel Mae "Granny" Mofield, 83, of Highway 1676 in Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2008 at home with her family.
She was born in King Bee, Kentucky on December 9, 1924, daughter of the late Ira and Sarah Katherine Dick Warren. She was a homemaker and attended King Bee Nazarene Church. She loved gospel singing and being with her family and friends. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend to all.
She is survived by her children, Flonnie & (Eddie) Dye of Nancy, Betty McKinney & (Don Robinson), Roy & (Donna) Mofield and Coy & (Betty Sue) Mofield, all of Science Hill, eleven grandchildren, Jr. & (Janet) Haste, Wanda & (Gerald) Wilson, Karen & (David) Waters, Jeanette Mofield, Natasha & (Stacy) Hendricks, Ola & (Eddie) Dick, Teresa Mofield, Allen McKinney, Scottie & (Christine) Dye, Chris & (Beth) Godbey and Kevin & (Tonya) Godbey, nineteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, four brothers, Brad Warren of Ohio, and Frank Warren, Carl "Boss" Warren and Milford Warren, all of Science Hill, four sisters, Mary Wiles and Helen Dick, both of Science Hill, Vinnie Adams of Ohio and Vina Taylor of Virginia, one sister-in-law, Hazel Gregory of Ohio and special caregiver, Betty Kissee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoy Mofield, who died on September 12, 2002, her parents, two grandchildren, Randy Haste and William Clay Mofield, one great-great-grandchild, one sister and four brothers.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Monday, September 8, 2008 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Kingrey officiating.
Burial will be in King Bee Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
