Quincy Sherrill Bastin

Quincy Sherrill Bastin, 76, of Raymore, Missouri, formerly of Casey County, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2008 at Foxwood Springs Nursing Center. He was born in Humphrey, Kentucky on February 17, 1932, son of the late John Quincy and Majora Moore Bastin. He retired from Bendix as an electrical engineer. After his retirement he was employed by Dollywood for 16 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Nell Jennings Bastin of Raymore, MO, whom he married on November 26, 1952, two sons, John Mitchell Bastin of Olathe, KS and Paul Hunter Bastin of Garden Grove, CA, two sisters, Maudine Williams of Yosemite, KY and Sandra Thomas of LaGrange, KY and four grandchildren, Holly Bastin of Lawrence, KS, and Jordan Bastin, Audrey Bastin and Samuel Hunter Bastin of Olathe, KS. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Mt. Olive Christian Church with Bro. Harold Ray and Bro. Greg Powell officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10 AM Saturday at the church. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home, Science Hill, KY is in charge of the arrangements.
