Larry L. Sexton McGuffey

Larry L. Sexton McGuffey, 62, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2008. He was born in Waynesburg, Kentucky on September 4, 1946, son of the late Thomas Sexton and Bessy Downey McGuffey. He was a truck driver. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Jean Lanigan McGuffey of Waynesburg, three sons, Larry Anthony "L.A." McGuffey of Kings Mt., KY and Scottie Lynn McGuffey and Brian McGuffey, both of Waynesburg, two brothers, Rick Sexton of Somerset and Thomas Junior Sexton of Monticello, four sisters, Tammy Jo Downey Reid of North Carolina, Vickie Sexton Cody of Somerset and Vonda Sexton Dawes and Brenda Sexton Stephens, both of Science Hill, eight grandchildren, Brandon Scott McGuffey, Erica Nicole McGuffey, Ashley Renee McGuffey, Brittany McGuffey, Victoria McGuffey, Alex McGuffey, Kayla Gerkey and Cody Wilcher and one great-grandchild, Brayden McGuffey. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Saturday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home, Science Hill, KY with Dr. James Rucker officiating. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 PM Friday at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
