James Herman Morrow

James Herman Morrow, 85, of Main Street in Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at his residence. He was born in Mintonville, Kentucky on October 17, 1922, son of the late Charlie and Goetha Dalton Morrow. He was a farmer and a retired local service station operator. He was a member of Eubank Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, serving in the European theater of operations and was involved in the Invasion on Normandy Beach. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Virgie Tucker Morrow of Eubank, two daughters, Charlotte Morrow Boyd of Richmond, KY and Brenda Morrow Wesley and her husband Lewis of West Palm Beach, FL, one sister, Artene New of Monticello, KY, four grandchildren, Dr. Belinda Wesley Selli and her husband Mike of Gainesville, FL, Brian Boyd and his wife, DeNae of Danville, KY, James Dale Wesley and his wife, Melissa of West Palm Beach, FL and Randy Boyd and his wife, Leighanna of Stanford, KY, seven great-grandchildren, Hayden and Jarett Boyd of Danville, KY, Morgan and Justin Wesley of West Palm Beach, FL and Matthew, Thomas and Alexander Selli of Gainesville, FL and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law, Jerry Boyd, three brothers, Hayden Morrow, Hobert Morrow and Lee Morrow and three sisters, Mallie Hammond, Mollie Morrow and Flora Morrow. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Sunday, September 21, 2008 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Rev. J.S. New officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
