Carl Douglas "Doug" Thurman

Carl Douglas "Doug" Thurman, 45, of Vaught Ridge Road in Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2008 at his residence. He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on March 15, 1963, son of Bennie Alfred and Wilma Jean Roberts Thurman. He was an employee of Smith Monuments and had an associates degree in Science and Diesel Mechanics. He is survived by his parents, Bennie and Wilma Jean Thurman of Eubank, his wife, Rebecca Godsey Thurman of Vaught Ridge, whom he married on November 21, 1984, two sons, Michael Thurman & (Jessi) and Austin Thurman, both of Vaught Ridge, two brothers, Bennie "Danny" Thurman of Eubank and Donnie & (Rhonda) Thurman of Science Hill and three grandchildren, Dakota, Destiny and Riley Anne, who is due to arrive soon. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Lucas and Bro. Chris Craig officiating. Burial will be in Vaught Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 PM Monday at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
