Alma H. Linkes

Alma H. Linkes, 95, of Linkes Lane in Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Friday, September 26, 2008 at her residence. She was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on August 27, 1913, daughter of the late Francis Marion and Eliza Frenda Turpin Hines. She was the former owner of Dinner Bell Restaurant and a member of Science Hill Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by one niece, Opal Jean & (George) Abbott, two nephews, Howard Eugene & (Carm) Hines and Homer Lee & (Bobbie) Hines, four great-nieces, Sandy Valandingham, Gwendolyn Smith, Denise Hoban and Debbie Gentry, four nephews, Alan Hines, Bruce Hines, Mike Hines and Tony Hines and special caregivers, Kathy Bundy and Donna Colyer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Spencer Linkes, her parents, four brothers, Ben, Dalton, Delton and Craig Hines, one sister, Edna Hines, one nephew, Edward Hines and one great-nephew, Stephen Abbott. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday, September 29, 2008 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Hoots and Bro. David Muse officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
