Ruby Estella Osborne

Ruby Estella Epperson Osborne, age 100 years and seven days, of the Good Hope community, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Harrodsburg Healthcare Center in Harrodsburg, KY. She and her family had a big celebration last weekend to celebrate her 100th birthday. Now there will be another big celebration to celebrate her life and her homegoing to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Ruby lived in the Good Hope community of Eubank, Kentucky all her life. Her husband, Conard Osborne passed away in 2001. She was a lifelong member of Good Hope Baptist Church, where she attended faithfully, being a Sunday school teacher, a bible school teacher and always cooked generously for church dinners. She lived the last 2 1/2 years at the Harrodsburg Healthcare Center in Harrodsburg, where she was very happy to have so many people around all the time. They took great care of her. She is survived by five children, Joye & (Bobby) Halsey of Harrodsburg, KY, Gerald & (Linda) Osborne of Greenville, NC, Forest & (Teresa) Osborne of Rolling Prairie, IN, Jeanette & (Lonnie) Wilson of Elizabethtown, KY and Gary & (Sharon) Osborne of Richmond, KY. She had eleven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was called Grandma Great by her greats! A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Good Hope Baptist Church. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the Good Hope Baptist Church. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
