James "Jim" Christopher Richardson

James "Jim" Christopher Richardson, 67, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on December 13, 1946, son of the late James W. and Josephine Estes Richardson. He was an employee of the Pulaski County Road Department and former Fire Chief of the Science Hill Fire Department, where he served for 45 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army 100th Division, having attained the rank of Captain. He was a member of Science Hill Christian Church. Jim is survived by his wife, Ceil Chestnut Richardson and two sons, Chris & (Mary Jo) Richardson and John & (Tabitha Jasper) Richardson, all of Science Hill. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Butte and Bro. Gordy Prather officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #38. Visitation will be after 6 PM Monday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
