Grace (Ferguson) Goodman, 79, of Frankfort, formerly of Glasgow and Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Friday, October 31, 2008 at the home of her caregiver.
Grace was born in Clinton County, Kentucky on April 29, 1929, daughter of the late Leonard and Flossie (Moreland) Ferguson. She was a retired Special Education teachers' aide in the Barren County schools system and was loved unconditionally by her many special students. She was a member of Science Hill United Methodist Church.
Grace is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Becky Goodman of Frankfort and Jerry and Linda Goodman of Science Hill and by two loving grandchildren, Tracy Goodman of Georgetown and David Goodman of Frankfort. She is also survived by one sister, Edna Guthrie of Eubank, one brother, Leon Ferguson of Bowling Green and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her wonderful caregiver, Linda Tincher of Frankfort and by Linda's extended family that so graciously adopted "Gracie".
She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Goodman, to whom she was married for 53 years, her parents, two sisters, Mary Riddle and Geneva Conner and three brothers, Hoyle Ferguson, Johnny Ferguson and J.B. Ferguson.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday, November 3, 2008 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Cropper officiating.
Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
Flowers are welcome or donations are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
