Daniel B. Jones

Daniel B. Jones, 85, of Elrod Road in Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Monday, November 3, 2008 at Rockcastle Hospital. He was born in Whitley County, Kentucky on November 26, 1922, son of the late Albert Russell and Nellie (Chinn) Jones. He was a farmer and a member of Woodstock Baptist Church. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by two sons, Russell Jones and Brent Jones, both of Somerset, one brother, Joe Jones of Williamsburg, KY, one sister, Edna Cox, four grandchildren, Mark, Matthew, Travis and Andra and one great-grandchild, Cade Daniel Jones. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Laverne (Stevens) Jones, his parents and two brothers, Paul and Thurman Jones. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Thursday, November 6, 2008 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. David Muse officiating. Burial will be in Woodstock Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
