Henry S. Keith, 88, of Keith Lane in Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2008 at his residence. He was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on June 13, 1920, son of the late Gilson D. and Emma Keith. He was a welder and a member of Estesburg Church of Christ. He was a decorated U.S. Army World War II veteran, receiving a Purple Heart, Bronze Star and the Distinguished Unit Citation while serving with the 101st Airborne. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Laverne Eubank Keith, four children, Wayne & (Donna Sue) Keith of Atlanta, GA and Elaine Keith Keller, Donna & (Ray) Caldwell and David & (Sandra) Keith, all of Eubank, twelve grandchildren, Suzanne Keith, Dana Keller Bush, Christopher Keith, Angela Keller Absher, Adam Keller, Molly Caldwell, Chelsea Keith, Aaron Keith, Kayla Lorman, Henry Lorman, Kelsey Lorman and Brandon Lorman, thirteen great-grandchildren, four brothers, George Keith of Lawton, OK and Gabriel Keith, John Keith and Tim Keith, all of Sterling Heights, MI, one sister, Jemima Keith Branscum of Science Hill and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Keith. Henry S. Keith loved God, his family, his friends and his Country. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, November 8, 2008 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Gerald Carter and Thaddeus Eubank officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens with military honors by Fort Campbell Honor Guard. Visitation will be after 6 PM Friday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy should take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, 100 Parkway Drive, Somerset, Kentucky 42503. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
