Joe Spears

Joe Spears, 79, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born in Mintonville, Kentucky on September 4, 1935, son of the late Hoy and Flora Harness Spears. He was owner and operator of Queen City Auto Sales for several years. He was a Mason and a lover of Cadillac's. He is survived by his wife, Annie Comley Spears, two daughters, Vickie Spears Coomer of Somerset and Jerrie Spears Frey of Georgia, two step children, Monie & (Dan) McCulloch of Winchester, KY and Nancy & (Mike) Whitlow of Somerset, two grandchildren, Heather Frey and Tyler Frey, both of Georgia, four step grandchildren, Nikkie, Navada, Colin and Hunter and sister-in-law, Linda Spears. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Clarence Lee Spears. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 6 PM Monday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
