Joseph ""Joe" G. Smith

Joseph "Joe" G. Smith, 74, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Monday, December 22, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on June 16, 1940, son of the late Doolin and Flossie Wesley Smith. He was retired from Hardwick Block & Tile and of the Baptist faith. He loved gospel music, word search puzzles and UK basketball. He is survived by one son, David & (Martha) Roberts, three sisters, Mary Wesley, Christine Dodson and Betty Dodson and five brothers, Warren Smith, Dee & (Becky) Smith, Frank Smith, Paul & (Joyce) Smith and Wayne & (Reva) Smith, all of Science Hill, five grandchildren, Ricky Roberts, Taylor Roberts, Haylee Roberts, Noah Roberts and Colten Burdine and sister-in-law, Bernice Smith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Roberts Smith, his parents, two sisters, Geneva Isabell and Audrey Acey, one brother, Harry Smith, one sister, Gladys Smith and one brother, Robert Smith, who both died in infancy. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Daniel Smith officiating. Burial will be in McKinney Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
