Alva Hendricks

Mr. Alva M. Hendricks, 79, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Hogue, Kentucky on July 1, 1935, son of the late Aaron and Mary Beth McKee Hendricks. He was an employee of the Sanitation Department in Lafayette, Indiana. He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Baugh Hendricks, one son, Robert Hendricks, one brother, James Hendricks, one half sister, Hazel Elliott, all of Science Hill, two grandchildren, Brian & (Elizabeth) Hendricks and Jennifer Hendricks, three great-grandchildren, Kaylyn, Jerimiah and McKinleigh, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Gerald Hendricks, Nobel Hendricks, Alger Hendricks, Lanas Hendricks and Amos Hendricks and four sisters, Leona Workman, Jesse Hendricks, Orlean Sweet and Ester Frybarger. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Troy Merrick officiating. Visitation will be after 11 AM Tuesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
