Donnie C. Black

Donnie C. Black, 66, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Friday, January 30, 2015. He was born in Eubank, Kentucky on February 4, 1948, son of the late Oatie Victor and Susie Burton Black. He retired as a printer for M & W Printing and was a faithful member of Floyd Switch Baptist Church. He was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the 101st Airborne division. His hobbies included camping, fishing and UK basketball. He is survived by his wife, Janet Patterson Black, whom he married on June 24, 1972. They were blessed with one daughter, Michelle Black Chumbley. He is also survived by two wonderful granddaughters, Jesi Elizabeth Chumbley and Susie Roxane Chumbley, one brother, Larry & (Mary) Black, all of Eubank and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Charles Burton and Arnold Black and one sister, Cella Faye Black. He was a special man that will be missed by his family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Monday, February 2, 2015 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. David Gambrel officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Sunday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
