Edith Godby

Edith Godby, 89, of East Highway 635 in Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Friday, November 28, 2008 at Britthaven Nursing Home. She was born in Somerset, Kentucky on February 6, 1919, daughter of the late William Nunelly and Juey Gregory Nunelly Vaught. She was a press operator at Palm Beach and a member of Science Hill United Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons, Gary & (Charlene) Godby and Richard "Dicky" & (Judy) Godby, both of Somerset, five grandchildren, Susan & (Mark) Marlow, Scott Godby, Sherri & (Bryan) Rice, Christopher & (Laura) Godby and Timothy & (Jamie) Godby and two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Rice and Grayson Rice. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ned Godby, her parents, three brothers, Lloyd Nunelly, Charles Nunelly and James Nunelly and one sister, Edna Waddell. A funeral service will be held at 3 PM Sunday, November 30, 2008 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Watts officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12 Noon Sunday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Science Hill Methodist Church Building Fund. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
