Iva Dick, 85, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Iva was born on November 27, 1929 in King Bee, Kentucky, daughter of the late Green and Mellie Mae Patterson Hall. She was the wife of the late Cloral William "Joe" Dick and a member of King Bee Nazarene Church. Iva was the owner and operator of the Science Hill Milling Company for 47 years.
She is survived by two sons, Danny Lee & (Brenda Sue) Dick and Jackie Wayne & (Vivian) Dick, four grandchildren, Terry Lee & (Sandy) Dick, Rodney & (Lori) Dick, Tiffany Dick and Danny Joe & (Amanda) Dick and three great-grandchildren, Makenzie Dick, Hayden Dick and Kadence Dick.
Iva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Cloral William "Joe" Dick, whom she married on October 22, 1946 and who died on January 21, 1993, six brothers, Herman, Herbert, Ottis, Estil, Elza and Ezra "Bill" Hall and six sisters, Gertie Spaw, Ruby Irvine, Ada Wesley, Ina Warren, Zelma Hall and Lola Hall.
Iva was a kind, quiet and honest Christian woman. She was loved and will be missed by everyone that knew her. Iva and her family would like to thank the people that cared for her the last weeks of her life, Tina Beasley, Vonda Anderson, Loretta Loveless, Angel Wesley and Lena Godby.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Friday, February 20, 2015 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Lawson and Bro. Wallace Thorton officiating.
Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Thursday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
