Zella Pauline (Wilson) Van Nostrand

Zella Pauline Wilson Van Nostrand, 75, of Walker Lane in Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2008 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in the presence of several siblings. She was born in Ansel, Kentucky on April 17, 1933, daughter of the late Herbert H. and Alma King Wilson. She was a veteran of the United States Air Force and worked in the hotel industry at various locations throughout her career. She was a member of West Science Hill Baptist Church. She is survived by five brothers, Ray & (Faustine) Wilson of West Chester, OH, Russell & (Lois) Wilson of Eubank, Lonnie & (Jeanette) Wilson of Elizabethtown, KY, Gilbert & (Mary Ann) Wilson of Science Hill and Steven Wilson of Louisville, KY, two sisters, Audrine & (Fred Carmel) Tucker and Susan & (Tom) Richardson, both of Somerset, fourteen nieces and nephews, twenty four great-nieces and nephews and one great-great-niece. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Van Nostrand and her parents. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Haynes and Bro. Phil Fisher officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #38. Visitation will be after 5 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
