Pauline Dick, 81, of the Slate Branch community in Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015.
She was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on September 9, 1933, daughter of the late Claude and Anna Floyd Muse. She owned and operated a beauty salon until her retirement. She was active many years in the Hairdressers Association, having served as President. She served over 40 years as church pianist, as well as recording secretary for many years at Lake Cumberland Church of the Nazarene, where she was a member.
She is survived by two special nieces, Patti & (Larry) Adams of Longmont, CO, whom she helped raise and Margaret & (Jeff) Littrell of Somerset, nephew, Eddie & (Trudy) Tucker of Madisonville, KY and special nephew, Russell & (Hazel) Dick of Science Hill, several other nieces and nephews, special great-nephew, James Russell Dick of Science Hill and several other great-nieces and great-nephews, whom she loved very much.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Dick, whom she married on July 25, 1950 and who died on December 13, 2009, her parents, one sister, Marie Tucker, one brother, John Frank Muse, brothers-in-law, Ed Tucker, John H. Dick, Carl Dick, Arl Dick, Otis Dick and Howard Dick and sister-in-law, Edith Wesley.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Monday, March 9, 2015 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Altman officiating.
Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11 AM Monday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
