Burel Spears

Burel Spears, 79, of Bethelridge, Kentucky, passed away Friday, March 6, 2015 at Ephraim McDowell Medical Center. He was born on January 4, 1936, son of the late Hershel and Ina Ashley Spears. He was a farmer and a member of Bethelridge United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Shelva Hodge Spears; two sons, Randall D. Spears of Junction City, and Rodney D. Spears of Bethelridge; three brothers, Barry W. Spears of Yosemite, Benny Spears of Liberty, and Bert Thomas Spears of Bethelridge; six grandchildren, Elisha Spears, Mikah Ball, Brittany Spears, Bryan Spears, Jeremy Spears, and Ryan Spears; two great-grandchildren, Hadley Ball and Addyson Spears. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Basil R. Spears; and a grandchild, Caleb Spears. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Bethelridge United Methodist Church with Bro. Larry Nichols officiating. Burial will be in Bethelridge Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Burel Spears will be after 6 PM Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
