Opal Faye Bryant

Opal Faye Bryant, 81, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015. She was born in Tupelo, Mississippi on December 21, 1933, daughter of the late H.C. and Lottie Mae Revis Harris. She was a homemaker and a member of Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and going to flea markets. She loved her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Buford Bryant, three sons, William Willis Ward, Gary Lee & (Linda K.) Ward and Jeffrey Eugene & (Lisa) Bryant, all of Science Hill, two daughters, Dorothy Ann & (Randy) Benford of Haleyville, AL and Sherry Lynne & (Tony) Chaney of Lebanon Junction, KY, three sisters, Johnny Kennemer of Alabama, Dorothy Winstead of Colorado and Barbara Casteele of Michigan, fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Troy Lee Harris, J.B. Harris and Frank Harris and one sister, Carolyn Harris. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Ferlin Price officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 AM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
