Ernest Alvin Stinnett

Ernest Alvin Stinnett, 94, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on December 6, 1920, son of the late Claud M. and Dora Mae Price Stinnett. He was a retired professor for Pikeville University and of the Baptist faith. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He is survived by his wife, Faye Taylor Stinnett of Louisville, KY, formerly of Eubank. He was preceded in death by his parents, an aunt, Bertha Garrett and a half-brother. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Donavon Burton officiating. Burial will be in Woodstock Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 AM Saturday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
