Wilma L. Jones

Wilma L. Jones, wife of James E. Jones, age 84, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Harlan County, Kentucky on April 29, 1930, daughter of the late Alvis E. and Elizabeth Hess Duncan. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, James E. Jones, whom she married on April 23, 1949, one son, Virgil & (Rita) Godbey, three grandchildren, Sharon & (Gary) Powers, Ronald & (Lisa Burkett) Godbey and Kevin Godbey, all of Eubank, seven step-grandchildren, Nathan & (Shelby) Powers, Cody Powers, Natasha & (Zachary) Bullock, Dustin Godbey, Kayla Godbey, Davin Godbey and Tyrone Godbey; and three step-great-great-grandchildren, Keaton Powers, Kaden Bullock and Kaydence Bullock, three brothers, Robert & (Maxine) Duncan of Illinois, Oral & (Dianne) Duncan of Ohio and Arnold & (Lola) Duncan of Somerset, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Darrell Jones and one brother, Cecil Duncan. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Williams officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Saturday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
