James E. Jones

James E. Jones, 89, of Eubank, Kentucky husband of Wilma L. Jones passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Pine Knot Nursing Home. He was born on September 20, 1925, son of the late Luther and Helena Jeffers Jones. He was a laborer for Fisher Body. He is survived by one step son, Virgil & (Rita) Godbey; three step grandchildren, Sharon & (Gary) Powers, Ronald & (Lisa Burkett) Godbey and Kevin Godbey, all of Eubank; seven step-grandchildren, Nathan & (Shelby) Powers, Cody Powers, Natasha & (Zachary) Bullock, Dustin Godbey, Kayla Godbey, Davin Godbey and Tyrone Godbey; and three step-great-great-grandchildren, Keaton Powers, Kaden Bullock and Kaydence Bullock. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Wilma L. Jones, whom he married on April 23, 1949 & whom passed away on March 24, 2015; his parents, and several siblings, and a brother-in-law, George "Bill" Brookover. A funeral service for Mr. and Mrs. Jones was be held at 1 PM, Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Williams officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation for both James & Wilma Jones was after 10 AM, Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home until time for the service. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
