Josephine Phipps, 75, of Williamstown, Kentucky, formerly of Pulaski County, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Edgewood Hospital in Edgewood, Kentucky. She was born in Casey County, Kentucky on April 6, 1939, daughter of the late Fred and Lucy Roberts Leigh. She was a homemaker and a member of Olive Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Jeff & (Debbie) Padgett of Williamstown, KY and Marvin Phipps of Burgin, KY, two daughters, Sherry & (Greg) Cyrus of Plano, TX and Evelyn Oblisk & (her fiancé, William Dauber), of Science Hill, three brothers, Ralph Leigh of Liberty, KY, Junior Leigh of Eubank and Carlos Leigh of Waynesburg, two sisters, Geneva Carmen of Kings Mountain, KY and Mabel Irvin of Broughtontown, KY, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, eight step grandchildren and one step great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Greg Padgett, two brothers, Charles Hines and Bidwell Hines and one sister, Mae Phipps. A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Bert Hall officiating. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10 AM Tuesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the Waynesburg EMS. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
