Ruby Illa Wesley, 85, of Highway 3091 in Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2008 at her residence. She was born in Casey County, Kentucky on January 27, 1923, daughter of the late Joe Mitchell and Lou Vada Moore Haggard. She was a homemaker and attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed her flower gardens and visiting with her neighbors and friends. She is survived by three sons, Jerry & (Susan) Wesley of Somerset, Jim & (Sandy) Wesley of Hamersville, OH and Tim & (Sheri) Wesley of Mason, OH, two daughters, Kay Wininger of Somerset and Mary Collins of Letcher County, one brother, Carl Haggard of New Castle, IN, three sisters, Hester Gover of Aurora, IN and Geneva Eastham and Joyce Neikirk, both of Somerset, sixteen grandchildren, Marty Wininger, Mike Wininger, Mickey Wininger, Jenna Hines, Robin Wesley, Matt Wesley, Heather Fite, Ashley Wesley, Derek Collins, Janet Shumake, Amanda Collins, T.J. Ison, Wesley Collins, Justin Wesley, Travis Wesley and Jared Wesley, twenty great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reid Wesley, whom she married on May 26, 1944, her parents, two sons, Johnnie Wesley and Terry Wesley, one brother, Roy Haggard and three sisters, Beulah Hall, Bea Stringer and Imogene Roberts. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, December 21, 2008 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Suttle officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
