Joyce Christine Gentry Taylor

Joyce Christine Gentry Taylor, 85, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Cumberland Nursing & Rehab, where she spent nine years. She was born in Bandy, Kentucky on October 10, 1929, daughter of the late Fred and Susie Cottrell Gentry. She was a homemaker and a member of Fairview Church of Christ. She is survived by three children, Arlis & (Marilyn) Taylor of Somerset, Delores Phelps & (Harold Felty) of Mt. Vernon, KY and Dale & (Leah) Taylor of Somerset, one grandchild, Tracy & (Tony) Bowling of Somerset, two great-grandchildren, Taylor Bowling and Addie Bowling, both of Somerset, two brothers, Glen & (Glenda) Gentry of Crab Orchard, KY and David & (Dora) Gentry of Eubank and one sister, Wanda & (Gene) Webb of Lexington, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Noel Taylor, her parents, one sister, Ruby Laswell, three brothers, Carl Gentry, Paul Gentry and Kenneth Gentry and son-in-law, Bill Phelps. A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Curt Herrington officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10 AM Thursday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. The family requests donations be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
