Betty Irene Godbey

Betty Irene Godbey, 76, of Beech Grove Road in Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Friday, December 26, 2008 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on October 17, 1932, daughter of the late Willie A. and Sarah Dick Jones. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Guston W. Godbey of Science Hill, two sons, Albert & (Diana) Godbey of Cincinnati, OH and Michael & (Debra) Godbey of Science Hill, four grandchildren, Joseph Godbey, Matthew & (Crissy) Godbey, Adam Godbey & (his fiance' Aimee White) and Anthony Godbey, two step grandchildren, James Strickland and Rachel & (Brandon) Morrow, two great-grandchildren, James Michael Godbey and Lucas Michael Stephen Morrow and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Bertha Jones. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Evans and Bro. Pat Lawson officiating. Burial will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Monday at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
