Lorne Dwight Edens

Lorne Dwight Edens, 64, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born in Shady Grove, Kentucky on July 10, 1950, son of the late William Lorne Edens and Classie Pitman Patterson. He retired from Sun Chemical in Cincinnati. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the American Legion and Cincinnati Masonic Lodge. He is survived by one son, Damon Lorne Edens of Somerset, one daughter, Dacia & (Phillip) Blascoe of McGuire Air Force Base, one brother, David Edens, five sisters, Joy Bernard, Charlene Watkins, Jeannie Ruth, Pam Sargent and Tammy Hendricks and four grandchildren, Austin Edens, Ella Blascoe, Kynlee Blascoe and Briseis Edens. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, William Edens, Shirrell Edens, Murrell Edens and Randy Edens. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Melvin Sisson officiating. Burial will be in Mintonville Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #38. Visitation will be after 10 AM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
