Edward H. "Ed" Buis

Edward H. "Ed" Buis, 91, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Somerset Nursing & Rehab. He was born in Casey County, Kentucky on December 4, 1923, son of the late Oscar and Eva Floyd Buis. He was owner and operator of Ed Buis Appliance and Furniture and was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of Waynesburg Church of Christ and the Eubank Ruritan Club. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He is survived by his wife, H. Joyce Barron Buis, whom he married on September 15, 1956, one son, Doug & (Dianna) Buis of Eubank, one daughter, Diane Claunch Brown of Danville, KY, three grandchildren, Jackie Lynn & (Loren) Hall of Truth or Consequences, NM, Shaun Buis of Yosemite and Cris Buis of Eubank, two great-grandchildren, Ryan Hall and Seth Hall and one great-great-grandchild, Keyden Hall. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Raymond Buis and one who died in infancy. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Friday, May 1, 2015 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Owen Thomas and Bro. Randy Reynolds. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Thursday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Eubank City Park or God's Food Pantry of Somerset. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
