Gerald C. Spears

Gerald C. Spears, 65, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at University of Cincinnati Hospital. He was born in Bethelridge, Kentucky on July 14, 1949, son of Martha Marie Warren Spears and the late Delbert Ray Spears. He was a former employee of Warner Fertilizer and a member of Bethelridge United Methodist Church. He loved sports, the outdoors and singing with the Firm Believers Gospel Quartet. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Brown Spears of Science Hill, his mother, Martha Marie Spears, two daughters, Karen Sue & (Loren) Pennington of Bethelridge and Sharon Marie & (James) Johnson of Mesa, AZ, four brothers, Lonnie Ray Spears, Jerry Lee Spears, Roy Michael Spears and Jeffrey Keith Spears, two sisters, Cathy Sue Hatter and Imogene Floyd and grandchildren, Braven Luke Pennington, Alexis Faith Johnson, Harley Marie Goings, Sabrina Rose Pennington, Raven Nicole Johnson and Alysa Ayiana Johnson. He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Ray Spears and one grandchild, Caden Gerald Pennington. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday, May 4, 2015 at Bethelridge United Methodist Church with Bro. Loren Pennington, Bro. David Green and Bro. Darrel Vance officiating. Burial will be in Bethelridge Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Sunday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home and after 10 AM Monday at Bethelridge United Methodist Church. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
