Mattie (DeBord) Lovins

Mattie DeBord Lovins, 91, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Friday, January 23, 2009 at Somerset Nursing and Rehab. She was born in Somerset, Kentucky on November 15, 1917, daughter of the late Charlie and Lottie Denney DeBord. She was a homemaker and a member of Woodstock Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, William Lowell & (Eleanor) Lovins of Brooks, KY and Gordon & (Frances) Lovins of Somerset, one sister, Etna McKinney, four grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, twelve great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Basil "Pete" Lovins, whom she married on September 28, 1933 and who died on August 6, 2007, her parents, an infant son, Donald Lee Lovins, one grandson, William Larry Lovins, one brother and two sisters. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday, January 26, 2009 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. C.E. Hansford officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
