Carol Joyce Duke Phelps

Carol Joyce Duke Phelps, 74, Louisville, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015 in Richmond, VA. She was born in Goodlettsville, Tennessee on December 31, 1940, daughter of the late George and Louise Hyde Duke. She was an English teacher for Tullahoma High School. She is survived by one son, Bob Phelps of Louisville, KY, one daughter, Susan & (Waring) Trible of Dunnsville, VA, one sister, Barbara Sue Jordan of Dallas, TX, four grandchildren, Sarah Phelps, Blake Pearce, Abbie Pearce and Ella Trible and two step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Cain Phelps, her parents and daughter-in-law, Kim Armes Phelps. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Science Hill Cemetery. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
