Gerald Cletus Hamilton

Mr. Gerald Cletus Hamilton, son of the late Lawrence and Mertie Hamilton was born in Casey County, Kentucky on December 16, 1941. He departed this life on July 21, 2015. Gerald was a retired employee of General Mills in Cincinnati, Ohio and a member of Southside Church of Christ. He was greatly loved by all who knew him and he will be deeply missed. He was the beloved husband of Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Mullins Hamilton whom he married on May 16, 1959. Mr. Hamilton is survived by: one daughter, Dianna (and Jimmy) Carter of Eubank, KY; one son, Gerald Dwight (and Sarah) Hamilton of Frankfort, KY; four grandchildren, Christie Carter of Danville, KY, Jordan (and Krista) Carter of Somerset, KY, Haley and Holly Hamilton of Frankfort , KY; six sisters, Narcissus Luttrell of New Palestine, IN, Shirley (and Lewis) Roy of Morrow, OH, Louise (and Ray) Carman of Ferguson, KY, Sue (and Billy) Ashley of Pleasant Plain, OH, Judy (and Curtiss) Wells of Kings Mountain, KY, Connie Floyd of Nicholasville, KY; two brothers, Lawrence "Bud" (and Shirley) Hamilton of Prospect, Ky, Donnie (and Donna) Hamilton of Harrodsburg, KY. He also leaves behind a host of dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by: one brother, Bobby Hamilton; one brother-in-law, Henson Luttrell; and a grandchild, Alaina Hamilton. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday, July 24, 2015 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Shawn Bain officiating & Bro. Mickey Ray. Burial will be in Salyers Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Gerald Hamilton will be after 6 PM Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
