Winnie Marie Dick, daughter of the late Gaither and Annie Bell (York) Pitman, was born in Casey County, Kentucky on Feb. 15, 1929 and departed this life on Feb. 26, 2006 at the age of 77 years.
She was a homemaker , a member of the King Bee Baptist Church; a song leader, secretary for the church and a Sunday School Teacher.
She is survived by her children, Orrin & (his wife, Helen) Dick of St. Petersburg, FL; Daniel Eric & (his wife, Carolyn) Dick , Karen & (her husband, Hobert) Haggard and Vivian Kay & (her husband, Andy) Cook , all of Science Hill, KY; Melissa & (her husband, John) Blair of Chattanooga, TN; a sister, Velma Sweet of Cincinnati, OH; six grandchildren, Anna &(Tim) Grigsby, Amy &(Glenn) McClister, Kim &(Allen) Denton, Bill &(Stephanie) Dick, Cassidy Blair & Sabrina Blair; 8 great-grandchildren, Zachary, Daniel & Katrina Grigsby, Michael Cook, Ryan Denton, Erica Dick, Rhianna Dick & Caleb Joseph Dick; 4 step grandchildren, Anthony, Mark, Jody and Chris Lundy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Dick, whom she married on May 23, 1946 and who preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 1996, a son, Martin F. Dick, four brothers, Otha, Marvin, Ralph and Andrew Pitman, two sisters, Sarah Ethel Eastham and Zella Estep and a grandchild, Orrin Dick, Jr.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2006 at King Bee Baptist Church, Science Hill, KY; with Bro. Charles Meece officiating.
Burial will be in the Shady Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on the family after 6 p.m. Wed., March 1, 2006 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
