Donald Palmer, 74, of Central City, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2009 in Eubank, Kentucky.
He was born in Carrollton, Kentucky on May 31, 1934, son of the late William and Sybil Kuhn Palmer. He was a sales representative for Bush Hog and of the Baptist faith. He was a 16 year veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Smith Palmer, whom he married on June 4, 1957 in Fairbanks, AL, two sons, William "Bill" & (Patricia) Palmer of Hansen, KY and Douglas & (Edwina) Palmer of Danville, KY, one brother, Michael & (Rena`) Kuhn, two grandchildren, Jason & (Jodi) Palmer of Central City, KY and Cale & (Kelly) Palmer of Archdale, NC and five great-grandchildren, Preston, Faith, Haylee, Aiden and Korbin Gage Palmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and twin daughters, Connie and Carrie Palmer.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, February 14, 2009 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Lowery officiating.
Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 10 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
Donations may be made to Green River Hospice in Madisonville, KY or Hospice of Lake Cumberland in Somerset, KY.
