Margaret June Morgan Monroe

Margaret June Morgan Monroe, 78, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born in Casey County, Kentucky on January 30, 1937, daughter of the late Johnie and Montie Hopper Morgan. She was co-owner of Monroe Pallet Co. and a member of Polly Ann Baptist Church. She loved to shop, decorate, reading, flowers, ceramics and music. She loved spending time with her family and friends and had a beautiful sense of humor. She is survived by two daughters, Pamela & (Irv) Looney of London, KY and Chandra Measel of Eubank, KY, two step sons, Lonnie & (Wanda) Monroe of Whitley City, KY and Greg & (Merilee) Monroe of Science Hill, three grandchildren, Anita & (Ron) Stigall, D. J. & (Jenny) Vaught and Nathan Measel, five great-grandchildren, Morgan Stigall, Daniel Vaught, Lucas Stigall, Jaden Vaught and Gavin Vaught, seven step grandchildren, special niece, Glenna & (Ronnie) Disney and a host of other nieces and nephews. During the past two years, June and her family have been blessed to have had five special women to help care for her. She loved them dearly as they did her. Peggy, Tonya, Heather, Paula and Thelma, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Rudolph Monroe, her parents, one step son, Michael Monroe, one brother, Eugene Morgan and two sisters, Helen Johnson and Deloris Johnson. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Clark officiating. Burial will be in Eubank Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Saturday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. The family requests donations be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
