Ruby Bullock Meece

Ruby Bullock Meece, 88, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away Friday, September 4, 2015 at her daughters residence. She was born in Vanhook, Kentucky on July 20, 1927, daughter of the late Columbus Jefferson and Gertie Myrtle Paris Bullock. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Brenda & (Glenn) Sears of Louisville and Beverly Burdine of Science Hill, one son, Brent & (Phyllis) Meece of Greenwood, IN, six grandchildren, Martha & (Dave) Roberts, Leslie & (Mike) Petree, Zach & (Chrissie) Rohrman, Lori Sears, Cole Meece and Anna Meece, six great-grandchildren, Cody, Colby, Clayton, Chloe, Colten and Peyton a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Hibbard Meece, whom she married on October 22, 1949 and who died on July 1, 2006, two brothers, Eugene Bullock and Welden Bullock and son-in-law, Pat Burdine. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Jesse McCoy officiating. Burial will be in Woodstock Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 AM Tuesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
