James Ronald "Rony" Webb, 57, Rockville, MD., departed this life on February
10, 2009, at the VA Medical Center in Washington DC. He was born October 2,
1951. He was in the United States Marine Corp, served in Vietnam and was a
member of the American Legion Post 86 Color Guard in Rockville, MD. He was
and avid outdoorsman and loved rafting. Survivors include a son, Jason (and
Nicole) Webb of Okinawa, Japan; two daughters, Amber and (Shawn) Ramsey of
Science Hill, KY; Virginia (and Bobby) Vann of Minot, ND; his mother,
Leilani Guss of Beulaville, NC; two brothers, Bobby (and Donna) Webb of
Oxnard, CA and Tommy Webb of Rockville, MD; four sisters, Elaine Williams,
Salt Lake City, UT, Arleen (and John) Sleeman and Lillian Webb, both of
Rockville, MD, and Mary Webb of Beulaville, NC; three grandchildren, Shon
Hagan and Isaac Webb of Okinawa, Japan and Alyssa Vann of Minot, ND; a very
special friend, Mary Angelo, and several nieces and nephews. He was
preceded in death by a brother, Larry Webb and a sister, Charlene Shifflett.
A memorial service was held February 15, 2009 at noon at the American Legion
in Rockville, MD. Inurnment will be held 10:00 am Monday, April 27th at
Arlington National Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of a
donation to the American Cancer Society or the American Legion Post 86, 2013
