Mary Jane Jones

God gave everlasting life to Mary Jane Jones, 64, of Brodhead, on September 15, 2015 at about 3:50 AM from the hospice care center in Richmond. She bravely endured an unexpected diagnosis and treatment for lung cancer until the Lord took her home. Mary Jane was born June 1, 1951 and grew up in Eubank Kentucky, a daughter to the late Marion and Stanly Price. She was a 1969 graduate of Eubank High School. Throughout her life she had been a beautician at Great Clips, among other locations, and the best single parent which may ever exist, as well as an obedient Christian of over 40 years who displayed and taught us humility, sensitivity and compassion, along with being faithful through persevering over the many hard struggles in her journey, the worst being the death of her only daughter in 2008. Those left to cherish sweet memories of her are: her siblings, Pat Dalton, Ruth Ann Lawson, Belinda Hibbard, and Allen Price; her children, Jacob and Jeremy Jones; her grandchildren, Learin Reagan and Corte Dax Jones; and a blessing of nieces and nephews, as well as friends and neighbors across the nation. We will remember her strength and courage, as well as her ability to be the rock of the family. Visitation will be after 11 AM Friday, September 18, 2015 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Shelby Reynolds officiating. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
