Kenneth M. Cook, son of the late Condy and Leura Robinson Cook, was born in Blue Diamond, Kentucky on January 21, 1933 and departed this life on February 3, 2006 at the age of 73 years.
He worked at Armco Steel in Middletown, Ohio, retiring in 1984 as foreman in the transportation department. After retirement, he worked in car sales in Middletown until failing health forced him to retire in 2005. Mr. Cook served his country in the United States Air Force from 1949 to 1953 during the Korean War. He was active in the tape, radio and bus ministries of Grand Avenue Church of God in Middletown, Ohio and helped numerous other churches in the Ohio Valley set up cassette-tape ministries. He was also a member of American Legion Post 218 and a lifetime member of the DAV.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Alice Willena Smallwood Cook of Monroe, Ohio, a son, Kelly R. Cook of Middletown, Ohio, a daughter, Connie & (Daniel) Duell of West Chester, Ohio, a brother, Condy & (Nancy) Cook, Jr. of Lexington, two sisters, Lucille Orcutt of Danville and Ermadene & (Elgie) Padgett of Eubank, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be at 2 PM Monday, February 6, 2006 with Pastor Todd Smith of Farmersville, Ohio officiating.
Burial in Double Springs Cemetery.
Visitation after 12 noon Monday.
