Betty Joyce Mize

Betty Joyce Mize, 78, of Mooresville, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015. She was born in Squibb, Kentucky on November 30, 1936, daughter of the late Genie O. and Mossie Dugger Adams. She retired from Diamond Chain in Indianapolis, Indiana after 35 years. She was a member of Chimney Rock Baptist Church. She is survived by two brothers, Lando & (Shirley) Adams of Somerset and Jimmie & (Diana) Adams of Greenwood, IN. A host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lawrence "Jim" Mize, who died on March 21, 2011, her parents and seven brothers and sisters, Geneva Woodrum, Juanita Dykes, Wathe Adams, Elma Hibbard, Onie P. Adams, Louise Adams and Clifford Adams. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Jay Lee Adams officiating. Burial will be in Whitaker Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 PM Saturday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
