Earl Lee Mullen

Earl Lee Mullen, son of the late Walter Earl and Hazel Hoeger Mullen, was born in Louisville, Kentucky on June 27, 1932 and departed this life on January 10, 2006 at the age of 73 years. He was the retired owner of Hardwick Block & Tile Company. He attended the University of Louisville for five years in Speed Scientific School, where he graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Somerset, and previously served as a deacon. He was an avid U of L Cardinal fan and enjoyed house boating. Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Diehl Mullen, whom he married on May 22, 1954, a son, Jeffrey Lee Mullen of Eubank, a daughter, Julie Ann & (Ivan) Randall of Somerset, four grandchildren, Leslie & (Dan) Whitis of Tustin, CA, Leigh Anne & (Jason) Retinger of Louisville, Kevin Earl Randall and Christopher Aaron Randall of Somerset and four great-grandchildren, Hailey and Evan Whitis, Taylor Retinger and Logan Randall. A funeral service will be at 1:30 PM Sunday, January 15, 2006 with the Rev. Jack Wilhelm officiating. Burial in Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Visitation after 6 PM Saturday. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
